The North Carolina-Wilmington Seahawks invade the Towson Center to tangle with the Towson Tigers.
A week ago the North Carolina-Wimington Seahawks had visions of winning the Colonial Athletic and now they are clinging to 4th. The Seahawks came up empty in a 70-59 loss at Delaware Thursday in which everything went right in building a ten point advantage before going completely flat during a 45-24 second half Blue Hens spree. Delaware connected at 50% with North Carolina-Wilmington unable to regain their first half shooting touch and finishing at 34.5% which turned out to be decisive. Craig Ponder led four double digit scorers with 14 points, five yanks and five assists with Dylan Sherwood tossing in 12. Addison Spruill and Reddie Jackson scored ten and eleven points with Jackson snaring a game high ten rebounds.

After losing some nice talent from a season ago the Towson Tigers are in rebuilding mode and we can't tell if this is a one or two year project although my gut says there will be more growing pains to come. The record isn't good but the Tigers have been involved in their share of close games with most going in the loss column. The Tigers have dropped four of five following an 87-82 defeat to visiting Hofstra where the Pride was outshot 55%-41% but turned 31 Towson personals in to a 37-21 advantage which was decisive. Four McGlynn pumped in a game high 27 points for the Tigers on 8-13 shooting followed by a 17 point, six board performance from John Davis. Eddie Keith dropped 13 points while four others added between 5-6 points.
The Seahawks are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a S.U. loss and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a ATS loss. UNCW are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Colonial Athletic Association. The Tigers are 6-1-2 ATS in their last 9 games overall and 6-1-2 ATS in their last 9 vs. Colonial Athletic Association. Towson are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record and 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss. Like I said about UNCW versus Delaware, this looks like a trap. Having said that, if the Seahawks don't win here they don't deserve to be a top four team...
