The Eastern Washington Eagles look to put on a show for the Reese Court faithful when the Montana State Bobcats visit.
The goal for the Montana State Bobcats is to avoid the Big Sky basement with just three games left on the schedule. Although the Bobcats bring in a 4-11 conference record they happen to be playing their best basketball of the season with wins in three of four where a struggling offense has suddenly come to life. Both ends of the floor contributed in Saturday's 67-53 rout of visiting Idaho State where a 43-24 second half run erased a seven point Bengals lead. The shooting was close enough with MSU holding a 42.6%-38% advantage but seven more threes was the difference maker. Michael Dison led all scorers with 29 points on 9-17 from the floor with Marcus Colbert next in line with 17. Four others scored between 4-6 points to help out the top two.

Early in the season my money would have been on the Eastern Washington Eagles to captur the Big Sky but they are 4th after dropping two of three. The Eagles are a dynamic offensive team that loves a fast pace but were slowed just enough by surging Northern Arizona 73-69 on Saturday on 38% accuracy with an 8-32 performance from distance doing them in. The Lumberjacks didn't set the world on fire at 42% but they were efficient from long range with a 9-18 mark and almost perfect at the charity stripe with a 20-22 effort. Eastern Washington received 22 points from Tyler Harvey on 6-19 from the field with Bogdan Bliznyuk adding 16 points and six pulls. Venky Jois contributed 15 points with the rest of the team scoring 16 points.
The Bobcats are 7-16-1 ATS in their last 24 games following a S.U. win and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Montana State are 5-12 ATS in their last 17 vs. Big Sky and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 Thursday games. The Eagles are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games following a S.U. loss and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 Thursday games. The are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400. I have zero interest in betting a game with nothing at stake so the best I could hope for is Eastern Washington calls off the wolves to get a back door...
