The Yale Bulldogs need a win over the Princeton Tigers to have a shot at capturing the Ivy League title.
This has been an off year for the Princeton Tigers although they have done well enough to be third in a conference that they and Harvard have dominated over the years. The Tigers won't be winning the Ivy but a sweep of their remaining schedule might draw the attention of the CBI or CIT. The Tigers come off a tough 63-55 loss at Harvard where they actually led by eight points at the half before struggling at both ends of the floor over the final 20 minutes. Princeton outshot the Crimson 49%-41% but 19 giveaways helped Harvard to 12 more ooks that combined with eight more free throws to pull out the win. Clay Wilson was the lone DD scorer with ten points followed by Ben Hazel with nine. Pete Miller, Spencer Weisz and Hans Brase scored eight points each with Brase grabbing 13 rebounds.

The Yale Bulldogs dreams of capturing the Ivy League championship has come down to the last four games of the schedule which they must sweep. It's a no brainer that this team will be in a tournament somewhere but it's a no brainer they want to win the Ivy and go Dancing. The Bulldogs hopes took a step in the wrong direction in a 56-50 loss to visiting Columbia with the Lions taking an eight point lead by the intermission and never giving ground. Yale defended well with 39% shooting allowed but the offense struggled to less then 37% marksmanship with a 7-16 effort at the line leaving points on the floor. Javier Duren paced the attack with 13 points, five yanks and five assists with Matt Townsend netting eleven points on 5-9 from the floor. Four others added between 6-7 points but the team simply shot poorly.
The Tigers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. Princeton are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Bulldogs are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 games following a ATS loss and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record. Yale are 15-5-2 ATS in their last 22 games overall and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 vs. Ivy League. I hope Yale wins and gets the Ivy title but I'm leary of laying all the points...
