The #22 Virginia Commonwealth Rams battle the Dayton Flyers at the Stuart Siegel Center with first in the A-10 at stake.
The Dayton Flyers don't receive a lot of press which is probably how they prefer it but you get plenty of attention when you are tied for the Atlantic Ten lead with just three games remaining in the regular season. The Flyers have won four of five with both ends of the floor contributing to the success which we saw in Wednesday's 76-63win against visiting George Mason. UD had a 55.6%-53% shooting advantage but won it with a 9-17 mark from beyond the arc that combined with ten more free throws. Jordan Sibert exploded for a game high 24 points on 7-10 from the floor including five bombs while Kendall Pollard added 16 points and eight boards. Kyle Davis was next in line with 13 points followed by Scoochie Smith and Dyshawn Pierre with 15 points with Pierre grabbing nine rebounds.

The Virginia Commonwealth Rams have plenty of scoring ability and can put on the defensive clamps and will need both to be in top form in the final week of the regular season if they expect to hang the Atlantic Ten championship banner in the rafters. The Rams missed out on an opportunity to take sole possession of first in the conference in Wednesday's 67-63 overtime loss at Richmond that snapped their winning streak at three. The Rams foced 17 turnovers and posted 12 offensive rebounds but that still wasn't enough to overcome the Spiders 43%-33% shooting edge with a 3-19 mark on threes losing it while a 22-10 edge at the line almost won it. Treveon Grayham tossed in a game high 25 points and hauled in ten rebounds but was just 5-19 from the field. JeQuan Lewis added 15 points and eight boards on 6-16 but points were scarce after this tandem.
The Flyers are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 Saturday games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games while going 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. The Rams are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600 and 6-14 ATS in their last 20 games following a S.U. loss. Virginia Commonwealth Rams are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. The Flyers aren't great on the road but I would hope this would be close with what is at stake. Jordan Sibert is questionable with a wrist injury which is a huge worry for Dayton...
