The La Salle Explorers look for a win after losing four of their last five games. On the season, La Salle is averaging 62.7 points on 41.8 percent shooting and is allowing 61.9 points on 41.3 percent shooting. Jordan Price is averaging 17.3 points and 2.3 assists while Jerrell Wright is averaging 12 points and 6.6 rebounds. Steve Zack is dishing 1.8 assists and Cleon Roberts is shooting 36 percent from the field. The La Salle Explorers have four players averaging at least eight points, and they’re shooting 69.2 percent from the line and 31.8 percent from deep. Defensively, La Salle is allowing 31.4 percent shooting from deep and has given up 63 or less points in four straight games.

The Massachusetts Minutemen need a win after losing five of their last six games. Maxie Esho is averaging 11.5 points and 6.4 rebounds while Cady Lalanne is averaging 11.4 points and 9.3 rebounds. Trey Davis is the third double-digit scorer and Derrick Gordon is dishing 2.7 assists. The Massachusetts Minutemen have five players averaging at least 9.2 points, and they’re shooting 70.5 percent from the line and 29.8 percent from deep. Defensively, UMass is allowing 34.8 percent shooting from deep and has given up 74 or more points in six of its last seven games.
The lack of defense from UMass scares the hell out of me, but the Minutemen are the more athletic team and should be able to get their offense going. In a toss up game, I look for UMass to make some noise and get the W here.
