The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks and Boise State Broncos play Monday night at the Taco Bell Arena.
The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks look to bounce back after losing their opener to Washington State. The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks are averaging 70 points on 37.3 percent shooting and allowing 82 points on 45.6 percent shooting. Kris Yanku is averaging 15 points and three assists while Torry Johnson is averaging 13 points and 10 rebounds. Mike Green is dishing three assists and Ako Kaluna is grabbing six rebounds. The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks held their own with WSU on the road but turned the ball over 18 times and made just four of 16 threes. Northern Arizona is no stranger to big road games after reaching the CIT Championship last year, and a win here would be huge moving forward. Corey Brown and Felix Rivera-Vega are questionable.
The Boise State Broncos look for a bounce back game after losing a road game to Montana. The Boise State Broncos are averaging 72 points on 56 percent shooting and allowing 74 points on 47.7 percent shooting. Anthony Drmic is averaging 23 points and three rebounds while Mikey Thompson is averaging 15 points and three assists. Nick Duncan is grabbing four rebounds and Montigo Alford is dishing three assists. The Boise State Broncos somehow lost their opener despite shooting 56 percent from the field. Boise State did turn the ball over 14 times, but they didn’t exactly do anything crazy to lose that game. Still, BSU is an experienced team that should be able to bounce back. Boise State has won eight straight home games.
The Lumberjacks are 20-8-1 ATS in their last 29 road games and 10-3-1 ATS in their last 14 games overall. The Broncos are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games and 10-1 ATS in their last 11 home games.
Northern Arizona hung around with a very good George Washington team. Meanwhile, I'm not sure Boise is worth this muc respect given that it lost despite shooting lights out from the field. I'll take the points here.
