Georgia Tech shot the ball extremely well on Friday but they really need to sure up their defense if they want to be competitive this season.

The Tennessee Volunteers are coming off of a close win against UNC Asheville by a score of 82-78 on Friday night. This was the first game of the Rick Barnes era at Tennessee and it was very shaky until the very end. Kevin Punter led the way for Tennessee with 31 points. Robert Hubbs III also added 18 points for Tennessee. Armani Moore and Derek Reese both had 8 rebounds in the Tennessee victory. Tennessee shot 69.2% on free throws, 25% from three-pointers, and 52.6% on all field goals attempted. Tennessee was out rebounded by UNC Asheville 36-33. Tennessee had 16 assists in their win. Tennessee will hope to have a better performance against Georgia Tech, where it will be key to stop the high scoring Georgia Tech offense.
