The Texas-San Antonio Roadruners fell to 0-2 on the season following a 78-45 loss to Clemson where neither end of the floor performed well. This was 48-28 game at the half and Clemson never let up. While the Tigers fired away at 51% and dominated the glass 45-25 the Roadrunners were held to 31% shooting which was a difference of nine field goals. UTSA had one double digit scorer in Lucas O’Brien with 12 points and five pulls with Gino Littles and JR Harris next in line with seven points apiece.A 6-25 effort from long range and just three makes at the stripe hurt the Texas-San Antonio scoring.

Creighton has been picked to finish at or near the bottom of the Big East so perhaps that gave the Bluejays something to prove in a season opening 93-70 rout of Texas Southern who never challenged. The Tigers sank half their looks but shot themselves in the foot otherwise with 19 turnovers and an 11-22 effort at the line to give the 52% shooting Jays 20 more shots which turned in to 12 more baskets. Khyri Thomas led five DD scorers with 18 points followed by Isaiah Zierden with Cole Huff adding 12 points and six pulls. Martin Krampelj and Mo Watson Jr. combined for another 21 points with eleven players scoring overall.
UTSA are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games and are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 Tuesday games. Creighton are 7-0-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and the under is 9-3 in their last 12 Tuesday games while the over is 6-2 in their last 8 home games. I don’t know what to expect from teams that are not supposed to do well so perhaps the over with the Bluejays doing a lot of scoring…
