The Harvard Crimson were looking for a 2-0 start to the year but neither their offense or defense got the job done in a 76-64 loss to Providence as a ten point underdog. The Crimson shot the ball at 46% but the 40% accuracy of the Friars was a winner because 20 Harvard turnovers turned in to 15 more Providence looks at the basket while the Friars added eleven more free throws. Corey Johnson led four double digit scorers with 17 points on a 5-10 effort from distance with Zena Edosomwan scored 13 points and hauled in 16 rebounds. Corbin Miller and Agunwa Okolie combined for 21 points while Tommy McCarthy chipped in with nine points and seven helpers.
