The Southern Methodist Mustangs make the trip to the west coast to face the Stanford Cardinal.
The Southern Methodist Mustangs opened the year with a tough but somewhat unknown Sam Houston State and made no doubt who was the better team in an easy 85-50 victory. The Mustangs made this a laugher quickly with a 40-19 lead heading to the locker room. The Bearkats had nothing going on just 28% shooting while the Mustangs fired away at over 63% which added up to 14 more baskets. Malik Milton led the offense with 17 points on 7-9 accuracy followed by a 15 point, eight rebound performance from Ben Moore while Sterling Brown, Nic Moore and Jarrey Foster combined for 26 points.

The Mustangs received 20 points, six yanks and eight helpers from Dorian Pickens with Rosco Allen right on his heels with 19 points and six pulls. Reid Travis and Michael Humphrey each netted 13 points with Humphrey hauling in 12 rebounds.
SMU are 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 Thursday games and the under is 11-5 in their last 16 road games. Stanford are 10-27 ATS in their last 37 Thursday games and Stanford are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall while the under is 14-6 in their last 20 home games.
