The Colorado Buffaloes welcome the Portland Pilots to town in Thursday night action.
The Portland Pilots watched their chance at a 2-0 start to the season disappear in a 79-66 loss to UC Davis as a 3.5 point underdog. The Pilots never found the groove at either end of the floor with less then 34% shooting while the Aggies sank half their looks. The Pilots did force 20 turnovers and had 14 offensive rebounds for 23 more looks at the basket but poor shooting did them in. Star Alec Wintering led the Pilots attack with 17 points and six helpers with D’Marques Tyson adding 15 points on a combined 14-25 from the field. Bryce Pressley and Jason Todd tossed in ten and eight points respectively but the offense needed more explosiveness.

After a close loss to Iowa State in their season opener the Colorado Buffaloes built a 14 point second half lead at Auburn before holding off the Tigers 91-84. Colorado hit shots at a scorching 57% and sank nine more free throws but Auburn forced 16 turnovers to give the Tigers 13 more looks at the basket which made their 46% shooting competitive. George King was the Buffaloes offensive star with a game high 27 points and seven boards followed closely by a 24 point, nine rebound performance from Josh Scott. Josh Fortune added eleven points and six yanks while Wesley Gordon and Dominique Collier chipped in with eight points each.
Portland are 0-8-1 ATS in their last 9 vs. Pacific-12 are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 games overall while going 12-3-2 ATS in their last 17 Friday games. The under is 9-0 in Colorado’s last 9 Friday games and the over is 8-3 in their last 11 overall. I’m not fond of this because Colorado is prone to giving up leads….
