The 11th ranked Villanova Wildcats had little trouble improving to 2-0 (0-0 Big East) on the season after defeating the Nebraska Cornhuskers, 87-63, this past Tuesday. The Buccaneers are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 non-conference games however just 5-13 ATS in their last 18 games overall. The Wildcats are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 games following a ATS win and 39-14 ATS in their last 53 home games.
Villanova is once against one of the best teams in the country even with losing their leading scorer from last season in Darrun Hilliard (14.3 ppg). East Tennessee State had a lot of turnover over the offseason but returned a few key pieces and it seems that Cincinnati transfer Ge’Lawn Guyn is thriving in the high-tempo ETSU offense. Villanova has a great defense and is always tough at home, but East Tennessee knows how to push the ball and score and I think this is just too many points to pass up. I’m taking East Tennessee State and the points.
