Creighton connected at nearly 55% and nailed 16 long balls while the Roadrunners hit at 44.8% with ten bombs and 18 turnovers that help the Bluejays to more looks at the basket. The Southern Utah Thunderbirds gave Utah a battle before falling in the season opener but they followed that with a clunker in an 84-64 loss at UNLV. The Rebels jumped to a 14 point lead heading to the locker room and cruised the rest of the way. The Rebels hit at 47% and forced 16 turnovers leading to nine more looks and nine more baskets against the 38% shooting Thunderbirds. The SUU offense was balanced but not explosive with Travon Langston and Trey Kennedy scoring ten points each while Casey Oliverson, AJ Hess and James McGee netted nine points apiece.
UTSA are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games and are 7-16 ATS in their last 23 Saturday games. The under is 25-5 in Southern Utah’s last 30 non-conference games and the Thunderbirds are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games overall.
