Kiran Shastri is averaging 17 points and two rebounds while Rohndell Goodwin is averaging 15 points and three rebounds. Kuany Kuany is grabbing nine rebounds and David Ware is dishing five assists. The Chaminade Silverswords are shooting 24.2 percent from beyond the arc and 76.2 percent from the free throw line. Chaminade is coming off a loss to UNLV in which it turned the ball over 22 times and shot 42.6 percent from the field. The Chaminade Silverswords have allowed 216 points in their last two games.
There's no line yet and the quick turnaround kind of forces me to make my pick now. I think it's fair to say that the Chaminade Silverswords are simply in this tournament to get better later in the year, as they're willing to take their licks early. I don't expect this game to be any different than the others for Chaminade.
While St. John's isn't as good as Kansas or UNLV, there's still a wide talent gap and should result in a Red Storm victory by at least 15 points.
