The Air Force Falcons will travel to the Coors Events Center to take on the Colorado Buffalos this Wednesday night in College Basketball action.
The Air Force Falcons won their 3rd straight game and improved to 3-1 (0-0 MW) on the season after defeating the Robert Morris Colonials 64-52 this past Sunday. Air Force struggled offensively in the 1st half putting up just 21 points however, outscored Robert Morris by a 43-30 margin in the 2nd half to secure the victory. Air Force shot 37.9% from the field and 84.6% (11-13) from the FT line in the win. The Falcons held the Colonials to 33.9% shooting from the field and outrebounded Robert Morris by a 47-36 margin. Leading the way for Air Force was Hayden Graham who had a double-double with 16 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists, and 4 steals. On the season, the Falcons have been led by Trevor Lyons (17.3 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 3.3 apg, 3.3 spg), Hayden Graham (16.0 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 4.8 apg), and Zach Kocur (7.8 ppg, 4.8 rpg). Offensively, Air Force is shooting 43.8% from the field over its first four games and hasn’t been much of a threat from the outside as they are averaging just 3.3 three-pointers on 20.0% three-point shooting. Defensively, the Falcons are holding their opponents to 37.3% shooting from the field and have a rebound margin of -1.3.

The Colorado Buffalos also won their 3rd straight game and improved to 3-1 (0-0 Pac-12) on the season after defeating the Omaha Mavericks 87-82 this past Sunday. Colorado found themselves down 38-32 at halftime but put up 55 points in the 2nd half to get the win. Colorado struggled from the floor shooting just 38.7% from the field and 27.8% (5-18) from beyond the arc, but was successful at the FT line hitting 34 of 46 FR attempts. The Buffalos allowed the Mavericks to shoot 47.2% from the field and outrebounded Omaha by a 52-35 margin. On the season, the Buffalos have been led by George King (18.8 ppg, 6.3 rpg), Josh Scott (15.5 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 2.8 bpg) and Josh Fortune (9.3 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 2.3 apg). Offensively, Colorado is averaging 81.3 ppg on 44.6% shooting through its first four games. Defensively, the Buffalos are holding opponents to 43.9% shooting from the field and are averaging 6.3 blocks per game.
The Falcons are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 non-conference games. The Buffaloes are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a losing road record however, just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.
Air Force has gotten off to a nice start to their season and has to be encouraged with the performances they’ve gotten from Trevor Lyons and Hayden Graham. Colorado has a ton of talent on the offense end and has been getting solid play for George King who redshirted last season with the Buffalos. Colorado is a solid team however, until they find some answers on the defensive end, I think they are going to let teams hang around in games. I think Air Force will snap out of their long-range shooting woes and will keep this one within in the number in Boulder. Take Air Force and the points.
