The Boston College Eagles shoot for their 4th win when they visit the Santa Clara Broncs Sunday.
After winning three straight games to kick off the season the Boston College Eagles defense let them down in back to back defeats following an 80-67 loss to Big West foe UC Irvine on Saturday. The Anteaters grabbed a 12 point lead at the half and held serve the rest of the way with nearly 52% leading the way. The Eagles shot a competitive 45.5% but UCI shot the ball too well and logged seven more looks at the basket. Jerome Robinson led the Eagles with 15 points but was only 6-16 from the floor. Dennis Clifford and Eli Carter each scored 14 points while Ervin Meznieks chipped in with eight points.

The Santa Clara Broncos have yet to taste victory on the season as they fell to 0-7 following a 69-57 defeat to Evansville. The Broncs fell behind by eight and didn’t have the firepower to catch up with the Purple Aces sinking shots at 47% with SC countering with less then 41%. Once again Jared Brownridge was a one man gang offensively with 19 points and five assists but was only 6-17. Nate Kratch added ten points and eight boards on 5-7 from the floor with Matt Hauser chipping in with seven points. The problem for Santa Clara is finding secondary scoring to help out Brownridge.
Boston College are 7-18-2 ATS in their last 27 Sunday games and the over is 7-3 in their last 10 overall while going 13-6 in their last 19 neutral site games. The over is 6-2 in Santa Clara’s last 8 Sunday games. Santa Clara isn’t very good because their offense is Brownridge and nothing else but I still have a problem not taking the points here…
