Charlotte vs. Davidson- 12/1/15 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Charlotte 49ers lost their 3rd consecutive game and dropped to 1-5 (0-0 C-USA) on the season after being defeated, 71-66, by the Washington Huskies this past Friday. Charlotte held a 38-35 lead at halftime however allowed Washington to go one a few small runs in the 2nd half and never had the lead over the last 8+ minutes of the game. Charlotte shot 40.6% from the field and 35.3% from beyond the arc in the loss. The 49ers allowed the Huskies to shoot 40.0 from the field and committed 19 turnovers. Leading the way for Charlotte was Joseph Uchabo who had 9 points, 18 rebounds, and 2 assists. On the season, the 49ers have been led by Andrien White (12.2 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 1.0 apg, 2.2 spg), Bernard Sullivan (11.0 ppg, 4.7 rpg), and Joseph Uchebo (8.5 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 1.0 bpg). Offensively, Charlotte is averaging 68.0 ppg on 38.0 shooting from the field and 31.5% shooting from three-point range. The 49ers are shooting 65.9% from the FT line and pull down 35.3 rpg. Defensively, Charlotte is allowing their opponents to average 82.8 ppg on 49.2% shooting from the field. The 49ers are allowing teams to shoot 41.9% from beyond the arc and allowing opponents to gran 37.8 rpg.

The Wildcats are 6-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. C-USA opponents and 21-6 ATS in their last 27 road games. The 49ers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games however, just 3-7 ATS in their last 10 vs. the A-10.

Davidson no longer has the services of reigning A-10 player of the year in Tyler Kalinoski, however, still is loaded with shooters and should once again be competitive in the A-10 this season. Charlotte has had a tough stretch of games to start the season which included a 55 point loss against Michigan on Thanksgiving. Charlotte is having a ton of trouble on the defensive end and although this is a lot of points for Davidson to cover on the road, I think they’ll make the most of the open looks they should get and cover this spread.
