Georgetown vs. Syracuse - 12/5/15 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Georgetown Hoyas look for a big victory to get a game above a .500 record. The Georgetown Hoyas are averaging 75.2 points on 47 percent shooting and allowing 66.7 points on 39.7 percent shooting. D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera is averaging 15.7 points and 3.8 assists while Isaac Copeland is averaging 12.2 points and five rebounds. L.J. Peak is dishing 1.3 assists and Bradley Hayes is grabbing six rebounds. The Georgetown Hoyas are shooting 35.9 percent from beyond the arc and 75.5 percent from the free throw line. Georgetown is averaging 14 turnovers per game but does have four double-digit scorers. The Georgetown Hoyas have won five of their last six home games.

The Orange are 5-21-2 ATS in their last 28 Saturday games and 7-17-1 ATS in their last 25 games overall. The Hoyas are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 Saturday games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games. The Orange are 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Georgetown and 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings overall.

This game is closer to a toss-up in my eyes, as Syracuse is great defensively, has wins over quality teams already and is making shots from downtown. The Orange can win this game, which is why I'm siding with the points.
