The defensive minded Miami (Ohio) Redhawks look to take down the Indiana-Purdue Jaguars on the road.
The Miami (Ohio) Redhawks best chance of success means limiting possessions and controlling the scoreboard in the process. The Redhawks did just that in a 64-63 win versus Central Florida. The Knights fired away at 54% but gave the ball away 16 times and that combined with 16 Redhawks offensive boards added up 16 more looks to keep 36% shooting Miami competitive. Eric Washington led all scorers with 15 points and six pulls with Geovonie McKnight and Willie Moore netting 13 points apiece with McKnight grabbing a team high seven rebounds.

The Indiana-Purdue Jaguars don’t have enough offensive firepower to make up for their lack of defense which is why the team is staring at a 2-6 start. The Jaguars come off of their third straight defeat in a 61-58 loss at Ball State on Tuesday night. The Cardinals held a 42.6%-38.7% shooting edge with four more free throws making the difference. Darell Jordan led the Indiana-Purdue attack with a game high 22 points on 7-12 from the floor with Matt O’Leary adding ten points and five boards. Nick Osborne chipped in with eight points and seven rebounds but a 3-10 performance at the stripe was costly in a one point decision.
Miami (Ohio) are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games and are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Saturday games while the under is 21-10-1 in their last 32 road games. The under is 6-2 in Indiana-Purdue last 8 Saturday games and are 14-37 ATS in their last 51 home games while the Jaguars are 11-28 ATS in their last 39 Saturday games. Miami (Ohio) plays things close to the vest and I don’t see this being any different…
