The Hofstra Pride search for a road win against the dangerous Siena Saints on Wednesday.
The Hofstra Pride are out to prove they are the team to worry about in the Colonial. The Pride halted a two game skid with an 89-83 victory at St Bonaventure that raised their record to 4-2. A 52 point second half erased five point deficit at the half a 45%-42.6% shooting advantage being enough thanks to a 7-19 effort from distance and nine more free throws. Ameen Tanksley gave the Pride offense 24 points and seven pulls with Juan’ya Green adding 23 points and nine assists. Denton Koon and Rokas Gustys scored 14 and 12 points respectively with seven boards apiece.

I really had a hard time nailing down the Siena Saints a season ago but injuries hurt the consistency and production of this team. The Saints fell one point short of logging five consecutive victories following an 81-80 defeat at Cornell as a seven point favorite. Siena hit shots at 48% and the Big Red connected at 42.6% but sank a few more threes and five more free throws. Marquis Wright paced five double digit scorers with 19 points with Javion Ogunyemi next in line with 17 points. Brett Bisping followed with 16 points and 18 rebounds and Ryan Oliver netted 13 points.
The over is 10-2 in Hofstra last 12 Wednesday games and are 10-3-3 ATS in their last 16 Wednesday games. The under is 7-1 in Siena’s last 8 Wednesday games. I see another unpredictable year for the Saints but if they play their best and Hofstra does as well then I’ll take the Pride…
