Saint Mary’s has gotten off to a tremendous start to their 2014-15 season as they have been outstanding on the offensive end leading the country in FG% (54.5%) and 4th in the country in 3FG% (40.6%). California has some of the best young talent in the country and although their defense has been solid, has struggled with outside shooting and turnovers so far in the young season. California has the better talent in this one but doesn’t seem there as of yet as a complete team and after Saint Mary’s was able to beat a very good UC Irvine team, they have me convinced that they are a team that can’t be overlooked this season. I’m taking Saint Mary’s and the points on the road.
