USA TODAY Sports

The Temple Owls improved to 4-4 (0-0 AAC) on the season after defeating the Penn Quakers, 77-73, this past Wednesday. Temple was able to gain a 38-30 halftime lead and never trailed in the 2nd half in the victory. Temple shot 50.0% from the field and outrebounded Penn by a 34-23 margin. The Owls allowed the Quakers to shoot 52.7% from the field and 33.3% (10-30) from three-point range. Leading the way for Temple was Quenton DeCosey who had 22 points and 6 rebounds. On the season, the Owls have been led by Quenton DeCosey (14.8 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 2.5 apg), Jaylen Bond (11.4 ppg, 7.8 rpg), and Devin Coleman (9.4 ppg, 3.5 rpg). Offensively, Temple is averaging 70.5 ppg on 40.8% shooting from the field and 34.1% shooting from beyond the arc. The Owls average 7.9 three-pointers per game and have an assist/turnover ratio of 1.59. Defensively, Temple is allowing their opponents to average 72.3 ppg on 42.5% shooting. The Owls have a rebound margin of -1.5 and a turnover margin of 1.0.

The Hawks are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games overall however, just 1-8-1 ATS in their last 10 games following a ATS win. The Owls are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 home games.

Saint Joseph’s have one of the best players in the A-10 in DeAndre Bembry who can stuff a stat sheet on any given night and paired with Isaiah Miles, could cause some damage in the A-10 this season. Temple might have four losses all ready but as those losses have come against North Carolina, Butler, Utah, and Wisconsin, it’s important not to judge temple of their W-L record alone. The Big 5 showdown games are generally good battles and as I think this game is going to be close, I’m going to go with Saint Joseph’s and the points and hope that DeAndre Bembry and Isaiah Miles can help the Hawks pull off the win on the road. Take Saint Joseph’s and the points.
