Northern Iowa is once again of one of the better mid-major teams in the country and already has a great signature win against North Carolina. Iowa State has one of the best starting five’s in the country and two outstanding players in Monte Morris and Georges Niang. Northern Iowa has lost two of their last games (both of the road) and has struggled a bit offensively as they averaged just 65.6 ppg in their last three games. Iowa State is one of the better teams in the country, but after losing Nazareth Mitrou-Long for the season due to injury, the Cyclones don’t have much depth which was on displayed in their last game in which all five starters played 30+ mins. Iowa State has great talent but I think the loss of Mitrou-Long is going to be more damaging than expected and I think Northern Iowa will be able to keep this one within the number. Take Northern Iowa and the points.
