The Georgia Bulldogs won their 2nd straight game and improved to 5-3 (0-0 SEC) on the season after defeating the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 75-61, this past Saturday. Georgia used a strong 2nd half in which they outscored Georgia Tech by a 42-27 margin to secure the victory. Georgia shot 49.0% from the field and 42.9% (6-14) from beyond the arc. The Bulldogs held the Yellow Jackets to 39.2% shooting from the field and 35.0% (7-20) from three-point range. Leading the way for Georgia was J.J. Frazier who had 35 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and a steal. On the season, the Bulldogs have been led by Yante Maten (16.9 ppg, 8.0 rpg, 2.3 bpg), J.J. Frazier (16.0 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 4.0 apg), and Kenny Gaines (13.4 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 1.3 bpg). Offensively, Georgia is averaging 70.6 ppg on 43.1% shooting and 34.3% shooting from beyond the arc. The Bulldogs average 6.1 three-pointers per game and has an assist/turnover ratio of 0.94. Defensively, Georgia is allowing their opponents to average 66.8 ppg on 37.6% shooting. The Bulldogs have a rebound margin of 2.0 and a turnover margin of -2.4.

The Tigers are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games. The Bulldogs are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 Tuesday games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall.

Clemson is running into the same issues they did last season as although they’ve been outstanding on the defensive end, they still are still having issues scoring the ball against solid teams. All of Georgia’s losses have been close games against decent teams (Chattanooga, Seton Hall, and Kansas State) and has been getting great production out of Yante Maten and J. J. Frazier. The Bulldogs have been solid defensively and as I think they have enough offensive weapons to put up some points against the Tigers defense, I think Georgia will be able to cover this spread at home.
