The Florida Atlantic Owls look to turn their season around beginning with the Hofstra Pride on the road.
You could describe the Florida Atlantic Owls as a team needs more scoring and more defensive stops. The Owls have dropped back to back contests following a 74-48 loss at East Carolina with the Pirates storming to a 32-14 halftime lead. ECU burned the nets at 54% and Florida Atlantic countered with 35.5% which added up to 13 more field goals which was obviously decisive. Solomon Poole was the Owls lone double figure scorer with eleven points on5-11 from the floor with CJ Turman and Jesse Hill combining for 16 points and 12 rebounds.

The Hofstra Pride has been tabbed by many as one of the most talented teams in the Colonial. The Pride have shown signs of living up to those accolades with three consecutive victories after defeating Appalachian State 86-80 as a 12.5 point favorite. The Mountaineers were held to 42% from the floor but gave the ball away 16 times which was too much with the Pride sinking half their looks. Brian Bernardi led the Hofstra offense with23 points on 9-16 shooting while Ameen Tanksley added 18 points and five yanks. Juan’ya Green was next in line withwith 17 points, five pulls and six assists while Rokas Gustys scoring 15 points and grabbing12 rebounds.
The under is 11-2 in Florida Atlantic last 13 non-conference games and is 13-3 in their last 16 Tuesday games. Hofstra are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 home games and the over is 7-3 in their last 10 overall. If the Owls have a hangover from the loss to Florida State they will get crushed so I don’t know if they are worth a bet…
