The Delaware Blue Hens face big odds when they go on the road to oppose the Villanova Wildcats.
The Delaware Blue Hens are an improved squad and are expected to give several conference teams some trouble. However they were the team that had trouble last time out in an 82-69 loss at Columbia as a 10.5 point underdog. The Blue Hens had a six point lead at the break before the Lions went off for 50 second half points. Columbia held a 47%-45 marksmanship edge and eight more looks with five more baskets making the difference. UD received a game high 24 points and five yanks from Cazmon Hayes with Kory Holden right on his heels with 23 points. Marvin King-Davis added 13 points and seven boards but nobody else could help out on the scoreboard.

The #6 Villanova Wildcats have been making it look easy with seven consecutive victories to open the season before Oklahoma turned the tables and delivered a 78-55 beating on the Wildcats behind a 46-29 second half run. Nove sank shots at under 32% and hurt themselves on a 4-32 mark from long range. On the flip side the Sooners sank shots at around 47% and went 14-26 from distance. The normally explosive Wildcats saw Josh Hart, Ryan Arcidiacono and Phil Booth net ten points apiece while Daniel Ochefu toss in ten points and haul in ten rebounds.
The under is 10-4 in Delaware last 14 overall. The under is 6-2 in Villanova last 8 overall and is 6-2 in their last 8 non-conference games while the Wildcats are 38-14 ATS in their last 52 home games. I’m not touching this because I’m a Delaware fan and don’t care for Villanova because that’s sacrilegious…
