The Hawaii Warriors were close enough to taste a spot in the title game of the Diamond Head Classic but simply didn’t make enough plays down the stretch in an 84-81 loss to unbeaten Oklahoma who led by as much as 16 points. Neither squad defended well with both sinking shots at around 46%. The Sooners sank one more basket with a dead even boxscore in most areas. Roderick Bobbitt kept the Warriors in the game with a contest high 32 points and five helpers on 8-12 while Stefan Jankovic tossed in 17 points. Stefan Javanovic and Isaac Fleming netted eight points apiece followed by Sal Tummala chipping in with seven points and five yanks.
I think the Warriors are a decent team and have an advantage with this basically a home game. Auburn has a few injuries to deal with so I expect them to probably slow things down and not get in a shootout. No line has been released but Hawaii will be favored…
