The Cal Poly Mustangs shoot for the road upset of the #19 Texas A&M Aggies Tuesday.
The Cal Poly Mustangs have a better then average offense but they also tend to allow points which makes scoring a necessity. The Mustangs are coming off of a solid all around effort in an 88-73 rout of Texas-San Antonio that snapped a three game skid. The Mustangs were up by 25 points after 20 minutes and the Roadrunners didn’t have enough firepower to comeback on less then 38% shooting. CP rode 47% accuracy and six DD scorers to a leisurely win with Luke Meikle, David Nwaba, Reese Morgan and Josh Martin scoring 12 points apiece. Taylor Sutlive and Joel Awich netted eleven points while Brian Bennett chipped in with ten points.

The Texas A&M Aggies have cracked the top 20 and the goal is to climb a little high each time out. The Aggies have won three of four after blasting Baylor 80-61 in a surprisingly easy, one sided affair. Texas A&M was up 21 entering the locker room and traded baskets the rest of the way. The Aggies were dominant at both ends of the floor with the Bears limited to less then 37% from the floor and forced in to 16 turnovers. The Aggies 47.6% shooting added up to nine more baskets and was decisive. Jalen Jones and Danuel House were too much to handle with 17 points each and 14 rebounds between them while Tyler Davis added 15 points and five pulls.
The over is 6-2 in Texas A&M last 8 overall and is 6-2 in their last 8 non-conference games. If the Aggies play as they have up to this point and don’t let up then you have to like their potential here…
