The Southern Miss Golden Eagles visit CUSA foe the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs Saturday.
At 3-8 I think it’s safe to say the Southern Miss Golden Eagles are rebuilding and need the most help at the offensive end where 57 points makes winning a difficult task at best. The Golden Eagles snapped a two game skid and picked up their third win in a 66-52 victory versus SE Oklahoma State on Tuesday. USM too a 15 point lead at the break and then traded scores until the final horn. The Savage were held to less then 40% while Southern Miss connected at 47% which was enough to win. Kourtlin Jackson pumped in game high 25 points and snared eight rebounds with Raheem Watts scoring ten.

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs are supposed to be one of the bigger names in the CUSA and at 11-2they are showing why. The Bulldogs put everything together in winning three straight in a 77-58 rout of Prairie View A&M where La Tech led by 21 heading to the locker room. The Panthers never found the shooting touch at less then 33% including 3-17 from long range while the Bulldogs sank shots at 45.5%with more baskets and free throws. Alex Hamilton was the Bulldogs offensive star with a game high 23 points and ten assists with Jacobi Boykins tossing in 12. Dayon Griffin and Derric Jean netted ten points apiece with Jean posting five yanks.
The under is 7-1 in Southern Miss last 8 overall and Southern Miss are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games overall. La Tech are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 Saturday games. The favorite is 9-1 ATS in the last 10 meetings and the home team is 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings. The Golden Eagles have no shot and if you look at their record they can easily get blown out but I have no interest in this as the Bulldogs might not care…
