The North Carolina Tar Heels and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets face off on Saturday in ACC college basketball action.
The North Carolina Tar Heels are 12-2 this season and they have won their last five games including their ACC opener against Clemson. UNC is averaging 86.6 points and they are shooting 50 percent from the floor while defensively they are allowing 70 points and their opponents are shooting 42.3 percent. Brice Johnson leads the Tar Heels averaging 15.3 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. Marcus Paige is averaging 15 points, Justin Jackson is averaging 13.4 points, and Kennedy Meeks is averaging 12.3 points and 7.4 rebounds. North Carolina is one of the best teams in the nation but winning the ACC should prove to be a pretty big test.

North Carolina is 3-1-1 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the point spread and 1-4 against the spread at home against a team with a losing road record. Georgia Tech is 18-7-1 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the point spread, 2-5 against the spread in their last seven road games, and 3-7-1 against the spread following a win. The favorite has covered the point spread in the last five meetings of these two.
Kennedy Meeks is out for the Heels and this is a big number so while I don’t love the game I will take the points.
