The Hofstra Pride visit Colonial rival the Towson Tigers with both teams looking for their second conference wins.
The Hofstra Pride have looked like the preseason favorite in the Colonial with three straight wins after opening the conference with a 90-80 win versus Delaware on Thursday as an 11.5 point favorite. The Pride held a 48.5%-45% shooting edge but the biggest edge was the Pride sinking seven more threes in a rather close boxscore otherwise. All five starters scored in double figures with Juan’ya Green leading Hofstra with 19 points and eleven assists. Denton Koon and Ameen Tanksley added 17 and 16 points and combined for 12 rebounds. Rokas Gustys netted 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Brian Bernardi tossed in 12 points.

I think the rest of the Colonial is taking notice of Towson who nine of ten and sit at 10-4 following a 74-69 win at William & Mary in their conference opener. A big second half from the Tigers erased a five point deficit in a game that was fairly even throughout. The Tribe held a 44.6%-42.6% edge in marksmanship. The decisive edge came at the charity stripe where the Tigers totaled eight more makes at the foul line. Towson was led by the duo of Arnaud William Adala Moto and Mike Morsell scoring 18 points apiece and grabbing 13 boards between them. Byron Hawkins tossed in 13 points while John Davis and Timajh Parker-Rivera chipping in with eight points each.
The over is 7-3 in Hofstra last 10 road games. Towson are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall and the favorite is 7-2-1 ATS in the last 10 meetings. Hofstra is supposed to be the best in the CAA according to the experts so if they are then we should see their best here…
