The Stanford Cardinal improved to 8-4 (1-0 PAC-12) after defeating the 21st ranked Utah Utes, 70-68 in OT, this past Friday. Stanford found themselves down by a 30-21 margin at halftime but used a big 2nd half to force OT and get the win. Stanford shot 39.4% from the field and forced Utah to commit 19 turnovers in the victory. The Cardinal allowed the Utes to shoot 45.6% from the field and 26.3% (5-19) from beyond the arc. Leading the way for Stanford was Rosco Allen who had 17 points, 5 rebounds, and a steal. On the season, the Cardinals have been led by Rosco Allen (14.2 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 1.3 apg), Marcus Allen (13.1 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 2.5 apg, 1.8 spg), and Reid Travis (12.8 ppg, 7.1 rpg). Offensively, Stanford is averaging 72.5 ppg on 44.3% shooting from the field and 35.4% shooting from beyond the arc. The Cardinal average 5.8 three-pointers per game and have an assist/turnover ratio of 1.01. Defensively, Stanford is allowing an average of 65.6 ppg on 41.5% shooting. The Cardinals have a rebound margin of 4.4 and a turnover margin of 1.3.
The Buffaloes are 16-5 AS in their last 21 Sunday games and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 vs. PAC-12 opponents. The Cardinal are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall however, just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. PAC-12 opponents.
Colorado might have lost their last two games but they’ve looked throughout the season and have been great on offensive led by Josh Scott. Stanford struggled to start the season but has looked good as of late with a close loss against Texas and a great win against Utah. Stanford is a young team that is starting to put things together but I think Colorado is too talented on the offensive end for the Cardinal and Colorado picks up their first PAC-12 victory on the road. Take Colorado in the PK.
