The North Carolina Tar Heels shoot for another conference win when they visit the Florida State Seminoles.
The North Carolina Tar Heels have no issue scoring the basketball although the defensive end of the floor can be a cause for concern at times. The Tar Heels continued to score at will in an 86-78 victory versus visiting Georgia Tech Saturday as a 14 point favorite. UNC held a 51%-42% shooting edge with a few more baskets and nine more free throws holding off the Yellow Jackets. Joel Barry II led six double digit scorers with 19 points and five yanks followed by a 15 point, eleven point effort from Brice Johnson. Marcus Paige and Isaiah Hicks scored 13and 12 points while Joel James and Justin Jackson combined for 21 points.

The Florida State Seminoles have been known for their defense over the years which has been solid in winning six straight. However their defense was a non factor in an 84-75 defeat at Clemson on Saturday as a two point road favorite. Both teams sank shots in the 45%-46% range with biggest difference in the boxscore being the Tigers 24-12 advantage at the foul line. The Seminoles stayed competitive thanks to a 23 point, six pull effort from Malik Beasley on 8-13 while Devon Bookert netted 21 points on 7-11 from the floor. Dwayne Bacon chipped in with ten points but the Noles attack lacked balance.
The over is 6-2 in Florida State last 8 Monday games and the under is 8-3 in their last 11 home games while the Seminoles are 17-7 ATS in their last 24 games overall. The over is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings. If North Carolina is top 10 quality then they win but I’m not really sold on this team…
