The George Mason Patriots lost their 2nd straight game and dropped to 6-9 (0-2 A-10) on the season after being defeated by the St. Bonaventure Bonnies, 77-58, this past Wednesday. George Mason was down by just a 37-34 margin at halftime but struggled offensively in the 2nd half and allowed the Bonnies to take control of the game after they went on an 18-6 run. USA TODAY Sports

The Davidson Wildcats snapped their two game losing streak and improved to 9-4 (1-1 A-10) on the season after defeating the Duquesne Dukes, 77-66, this past Wednesday. Davidson held just a two-point halftime lead but used a 10-4 run midway through the 2nd half to get a 16-point lead and cruise to a victory. Davidson shot 42.4% from the field and 92.9% (13-14) from the free throw line. The Wildcats held the Dukes to 39.7% shooting from the field and 16.7% (4-24) from three-point range. Leading the way for Davidson was Jack Gibbs who had 21 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists, and 6 steals. On the season, the Wildcats have been led by Jack Gibbs (23.8 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 4.8 apg, 1.9 spg), Peyton Aldridge (15.5 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 2.5 apg), and Brian Sullivan (14.8 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 4.0 apg). Offensively, Davidson is averaging 81.6 ppg on 44.1% shooting from the field and 33.9% shooting from three-point range. The Wildcats average 9.7 three-pointers per game and have an assist/turnover ratio of 1.55. Defensively, Davidson is allowing their opponents to average 79.9 ppg on 44.4% shooting from the field. The Wildcats have a rebound margin of -7.0 and a turnover margin of 3.5.

The Patriots are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS loss however, 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Wildcats are 21-6 ATS in their last 27 games following a ATS win and 10-3 ATS in their last 13 vs. A-10 opponents.

George Mason has really struggled on the road this season as in their last three road games the Patriots have averaged just 49 ppg and lost each of those games by an average of 22.6 ppg. Davidson once again has a very dangerous offense led by Jack Gibbs, however, hasn’t shown much on the defensive end as they rank 318th in the country in scoring defense. George Mason will need to put together a great defensive effort to stay in this game but as the Patriots lost by 21 last year Davidson and doesn’t seem to have anyone that can really put points on the board, I’m going to take Davidson to cover in this one.
