The College of Charleston Cougars visit the Drexel Dragons in CAA action Saturday.
The 10-4 Charleston Cougars have won three of four and have shown to be unafraid on the road. The Cougars have won after knocking off conference heavyweight Hofstra 72-61 as a three point home dog/ The key was holding the Pride to just 43.6% shooting while their own 54.7% added up to five more field goals. Marquise Pointer led five double digit scorers with a game high 19 points in six assists on 7-14 with Peyton Hulsey and Cameron Johnson tossing in 12 points each with eleven boards between them. Jarrell Brantley and Nick Harris netted ten points apiece and grabbed 12 rebounds.

The Drexel Dragons have struggled the past few years and this season doesn’t look good at 2-12. The Dragons have dropped six of seven after falling to visiting William & Mary on Thursday as a four point underdog. The Dragons were behind the eight ball when facing a 17 point deficit at the half while a second half comeback fell short. Both squads burned the nets at around 54% but William & Mary held a 13-7 edge at the line and nailed three more from distance. Sammy Mojica and Rodney Williams netted 13 points apiece with Williams snagging seven rebounds. Tavon Allen and Kazembe Abif combined for 21 points in a very balance attack where the entire seven man rotation scored.
Charleston are 5-21 ATS in their last 26 Saturday games and are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 road games while the under is 23-11 in their last 34 road games. The under is 9-1 in Drexel last 10 overall while the Dragons are 14-34-3 ATS in their last 51 home games and 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 Saturday games. The numbers favor Charleston but I can see this going down to the wire…
