Wichita State was able to hang on for a big victory at home against the Evansville Purple Aces and although they are just 9-5 on the season, is one again the favorites in the MVC this season. Southern Illinois wasn’t expected to much this season but has been outstanding so far this season as they have a great player in Anthony Beane who has gotten some unexpected production from some the supporting players. Southern Illinois showed it was for real with a solid home victory over Northern Illinois and although this will be the biggest test to see what the Salukis are made of, the Shockers aren’t the same team on the road and I think Southern Illinois will be able to cover with points here. I’m taking Southern Illinois and the points.
