The #22 Cincinnati Bearcats look to move up in the polls with a win at the South Florida Bulls.
The Cincinnati Bearcats have been in a funk the past few weeks and they are in danger of falling from the top 25 following defeats in three of four. A 59-57 loss at unbeaten Southern Methodist was a tough one to swallow as they coughed up a late lead and probably should have won. The defense did allow 51% shooting but forced 16 turnovers and totaled 18 more shots to make their 37.7% marksmanship competitive but only going to the line four times hurt them as much as anything. Farad Cobb tossed in a game high 18 points on 6-11 with Gary Clark adding 13 points and eleven rebounds. Troy Caupain chipped in with nine but the Bearcats offense had few options.

I think the South Florida Bulls 3-13 record tells the story of their season as they have been outscored 72-64. The Bulls have dropped five straight capped off by a 75-64 loss at rival Central Florida. The Bulls trailed by three at the half before the Knights slowly pulled away. UCF connected at 48% with the Bulls countering with 43.5% accuracy and 14 more looks at the basket but UCF won it with a 20-7 margin at the stripe. Jaleel Cousins gave South Florida 19 points and 13 rebounds on 7-10 from the floor with Chris Perry adding ten points and five yanks. Nehemias Morillo tossed in nine but the Bulls didn’t have enough options offensively.
The under is 10-2 in Cincinnati last 12 Sunday games and Cincinnati are 9-33 ATS in their last 42 Sunday games while going 7-2 ATS in their last 9 road games. The under is 6-2 in South Florida last 8 Sunday games and the Bulls are 17-35-1 ATS in their last 53 home games. Cincinnati are 3-13 ATS in the last 16 meetings. If the Bearcats have a hangover from SMU they won’t cover so that’s a consideration…
