The Houston Cougars hope to continue their hot start at the rival Cincinnati Bearcats.
The Houston Cougars are playing their best basketball in recent memory so we’ll se if that continues with AAC action ready to get hot and heavy. The 13-2 Cougars have outscored the opposition 82-67 and are riding the momentum of a five game winning streak following a 63-45 rout of visiting Tulane as 10.5 point fave. UH jumped to a 20 point first half lead and traded baskets the rest of the way. The Green Wave were held to 32.7% from the field with Houston hitting at 41% with nine more looks. Robert Gray Jr. gave the Cougars offense 15 points with Devonta Pollard and Danrad Knowles netting 13 points apiece. Eight players scored altogether but that was still overkill.

The Cincinnati Bearcats are a team that simply can not be overlooked because of the suffocating defense they play. The offense is solid at 75 games but their defense is their calling card with only 61 points allowed on 39%. Cinci improved to 12-5 with a 54-51 victory at a stubborn South Florida as a 15.5 point favorite. The Bulls shot the ball at 51% but had 18 turnovers that gave the 30% shooting Bearcats ten more looks at the basket with a 15-3 advantage at the stripe being the deciding factor. Troy Caupain led a trio of double digit scorers with 14 points and six pulls while Octavius Ellis and Shaquille Thomas contributed ten points apiece.
Houston are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 games overall and the under is 9-3 in their last 12 Wednesday games while the over is 9-4-2 in their last 15 overall. The under is 11-3 in Cincinnati last 14 Wednesday games and Cincinnati are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall while the under is 66-27 in their last 93 overall.
