The Clemson Tigers won their 3rd straight game and improved to 10-6 (3-1 ACC) on the season after upsetting the 16th ranked Louisville Cardinals, 66-62, this past Sunday. Clemson had a 31-25 halftime lead and never let Louisville get the lead in the 2nd half in the victory. Clemson struggled offensively as they shot just 32.6% from the field and 30.0% (6-20) from beyond the arc, but was able to get to the FT line and impressive 44 times in which they hit 32 FT’s (72.7%). The Tigers held the Cardinals to 13.0% (3-23) shooting from beyond the arc and was outrebounded by Louisville by a 53-31 margin. Leading the way for the Tigers was Jaron Blossomgame who had 17 points, 9 rebounds, 3 steals, 3 blocks, and an assist. On the season, the Tigers have been led by Jaron Blossomgame (15.4 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 1.6 bpg), Avry Holmes (10.7 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 2.9 apg), and Donte Grantham (9.9 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 2.4 apg). Offensively, Clemson is averaging 69.6 ppg on 43.3% shooting from the field and 35.9% shooting from beyond the arc. The Tigers average 8.0 three-pointers per game and have an assist/turnover ratio of 1.33. Defensively, Clemson is holding their opponents to an average of 62.2 ppg on 40.2% shooting. The Tigers have a rebound margin of 1.9 and a turnover margin of 1.0.

The Blue Devils are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 vs. ACC opponents and 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 games following a ATS win. The Tigers are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 Wednesday games and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 AAC opponents.

Duke has one of the best offensives in the country and have looked outstanding recently as star freshman Brandon Ingram has really come on as of late. Clemson has had a great start to conference play and has been outstanding on the defensive end as they rank 15th in the country in scoring defense and 66th in defensive FG%. Clemson has put together a nice string of wins, however, they have shown that they can struggle offensively away from home and as Duke’s offensive is running on all cylinders at the moment, I think the Blue Devils will be able to cover this spread. Take Duke to cover.
