The Towson Tigers will travel to the Bob Carpenter Center to take on the Delaware Blue Hens this Thursday night in College Basketball action.

The Towson Tigers dropped to 11-6 (2-2 CAA) on the season after being defeated by the James Madison Dukes, 73-59, this past Saturday. Towson was down by just five points at halftime but allowed James Madison to open the 2nd half on a 11-2 run to take a 42-28 lead in which they couldn’t fight back from. Towson struggled offensively as they shot just 34.6% from the field and 10.0% (2-20) from beyond the arc. The Tigers allowed the Dukes to shoot 41.3% from the field and 41.2% (7-17) from three-point range. Leading the way for Towson was William Adala Moto who had a double-double with 17 points, 13 rebounds, 1 assist, and a steal. On the season, the Tigers have been led by William Adala Moto (14.4 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 1.5 apg), Byron Hawkins (13.9 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 2.0 apg), and Mike Morsell (12.2 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 2.2 apg). USA TODAY Sports

The Delaware Blue Hens lost their 7th straight game and dropped to 5-10 (0-4 CAA) on the season after being defeated by the UNC Wilmington Seahawks, 85-67, this past Saturday. Delaware had little answers for UNC in the post and allowed the Seahawks to go on an 11-0 run early in the 2nd half in which the Blue Hens had no answers for. Delaware shot 39.1% from the field and 76.9% (30-39) from the FT line. The Blue Hens allowed the Seahawks to shoot 53.0% from the field and lost the turnover battle by a 20-11 margin. Leading the way for Delaware was Marvin King-Davis who had 29 points, 9 rebounds, and an assist. On the season, the Seahawks have been led by Kory Holden (16.2 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 4.4 apg), Marvin King-Davis (14.1 ppg, 8.7 rpg, 1.1 apg), and Cazmon Hayes (13.8 ppg, 6.0 rpg). Offensively, Delaware is averaging 66.1 ppg on 38.9% shooting from the field and 30.7% shooting from beyond the arc. The Blue Hens average 5.9 three-pointers per game and have an assist/turnover ratio of 0.89. Defensively, Delaware is allowing their opponents to average 75.1 ppg on 43.9% shooting. The Blue Hens have a rebound margin of 3.8 and a turnover margin of -3.3.

The Tigers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Thursday games however, just 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games following an ATS loss. The Blue Hens are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record and 1-7-1 ATS in their last 9 games overall.

Towson has picked up a couple of solid CAA wins early in conference play against William & Mary and UNC Wilmington, but has struggled a bit offensively against some of the better teams they’ve faced this year. Delaware is a young squad that has struggled as of late as 6 of their last 7 losses have come by at least double-digits. Towson has proven it can win on the road early on in conference play and as they have a strong defensive, I think the Tigers will be able to easily cover this small spread on the road against Delaware. Take Towson to cover.
