The Detroit Titans seem to light up the scoreboard year in, year out and this season looks to be no different. The Titans can also allow points and we saw both in Saturday’s 86-82 loss to visiting Oakland. UDM burned the nets at 52% while the Golden Grizzles hit at nearly 48% with three more free throws and three more bombs making this a winning performance. Paris Bass and Jaleel Hogan poured in 20 points apiece and snared eight rebounds each with ten helpers. Anton Wilson scored Ten while Chris Jenkins and Josh McFolley combined for 17 points with no player shooting at less then 50%.

The Wright State Raiders haven’t been much of a factor in the Horizon for quite awhile with injuries taking a toll the past few seasons. The surging Raiders have won eight of ten after hammering visiting Youngstown State 81-45 as a nine point favorite Saturday. WSU opened up an 18 point lead after 20 minutes and kept up the pressure until the final buzzer. The Penguins were unable to generate an offense less then 29% shooting with a 4-16 effort on threes while the Raiders connected at over 49% for 16 more baskets. Michael Karena, Mark Alstork and Grant Benzinger each scored 13 points with Daniel Mortensen netted 12 points. Overall 13 players saw the floor with Wright State emptying the bench.
