The Central Florida Knights take the floor with the rival South Florida Bulls for the second time.
The Central Florida Knights are not accustomed to a ton of success so their 9-6 record is a very good thing. The Knights evened their record in the AAC at 2-2 with an 88-69 rout of visiting East Carolina as a 4.5 point favorite Saturday. A 60-32 first explosion put this in the win column behind torrid 54% shooting including 12-27 from beyond the arc while the Pirates couldn’t keep up on 41%. AJ Davis, Daiquan Miller and Adonys Henriquez each scored 13 points and combined for 14 rebounds. Tacko Fall and Justin McBride scored 12 points apiece and combined for 16 boards while Matt Williams chipped in with nine points and seven pulls.

The South Florida Bulls have struggled at both ends of the floor for a number of years and their 3-16 record say the same struggles are continuing. The Bulls are mired in an eight game slide capped off by a 71-56 defeat at Memphis Saturday as a 17.5 point underdog. The Tigers took an eight point lead in to the break and steadily pulled away. The Tigers did not shoot the ball well at 36% but they totaled 13 more looks at the basket to outdistance the 32% shooting Bulls. South Florida received 16 points and nine rebounds from Angel Nunez while Jahmal Murray added 13 points and five yanks with Nehemias Morillo chipped in with nine points.
Central Florida are 12-2 ATS in their last 14 overall. The under is 38-14 in USF last 52 Wednesday games and the Bulls are 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 Wednesday games while going 14-32-1 ATS in their last 47 home games. The underdog is 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings. Central Florida needs to win this game to boost their record for one of the postseason tournaments…
