The Northwestern Wildcats look right the ship against the Indiana Hoosiers Saturday.
The Northwestern Wildcats are off to a fantastic 15-5 start but the team has struggled lately with losses in four of six. The Wildcats are coming off of a 62-56, overtime loss at Maryland Tuesday with not much offense to lean on. NW connected at just 35% which negated 17 more looks at the basket and made the Terrapins 43.8% marksmanship and eleven more free throws a winning effort. Aaron Falzon led three double digit scorers with 13 points on 5-11 with Bryant McIntosh adding 12 points and seven rebounds while Derek Pardon netted eleven points on 5-6 from the floor and was one of the two players to hit at least 50% from the field.

The Indiana Hoosiers have finally been rewarded for their 16-3 record with the #25 ranking which is long overdue in my view. The Hoosiers haven’t lost in over six weeks with plenty of scoring and defense leading the way. Illinois was the latest victim in a 103-69 defeat on Tuesday with the Illini falling behind by 17 points after 20 minutes and never able to mount a comeback. The Illini hit at 43% but that wasn’t enough to compete with Indian’s 57% accuracy with 14 more looks and a 19-36 performance on threes. Indiana received a game high 21 points and five assists from Troy Williams with Yogi Ferrell and Max Bielfeldt tossing in 16 points apiece. Robert Johnson added 13 points, seven boards and six helpers with Thomas Bryant chipping in with nine points.
The under is 18-7-1 in Northwestern last 26 Saturday games and Northwestern are 20-8-1 ATS in their last 29 road games while going 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games overall. Indiana are6-2 ATS in their last 8 home games. Northwestern are 18-5 ATS in the last 23 meetings and are 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings in Indiana. I think the Wildcats might be better then given credit for…
