USA TODAY Sports

The Hofstra Pride picked up a big win on the road and improved to 13-6 (5-2 CAA) on the season after defeating the Northeastern Huskies, 96-92 in 3OT, this past Thursday. Hofstra allowed Northeastern to get back in the game after taking a 10-point halftime lead and made a couple key FT’s at the end of the third OT to get the big conference win. Hofstra shot 43.6% from the field and 41.4% (12-29) from beyond the arc. The Pride allowed the Huskies to shoot 44.6% from the field and outrebounded Northeastern by a 60-32 margin. Leading the way for Hofstra was Rokas Gustys who had a double-double with 23 points, 20 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. On the season, the Pride has been led by Juan’ya Green (17.5 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 6.9 apg, 1.7 spg), Ameen Tanksley (15.6 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 1.5 apg), and Rokas Gustys (12.3 ppg, 10.6 rpg, 1.1 bpg). Offensively, Hofstra is averaging 80.8 ppg on 44.1% shooting from the field and 36.4% shooting from beyond the arc. The Pride average 8.8 three-pointers per game and have an assist/turnover ratio of 1.27. Defensively, Hofstra is allowing their opponents to average 75.5 ppg on 44.2% shooting from the field. The Pride average 6.6 steals per game and have a rebound margin of 1.27.

The Tribe are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games and 4-1 ATS in their last 4 away games. The Pride are 4-5-1 ATS in their last 10 games and 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games.

William & Mary has been great offensively this season as they currently rank 21st in the country in FG% and 47th in 3P FG%. Hofstra came into the season as the CAA favorite and have arguably the best player in the CAA in Juan’ya Green. William & Mary has played well as of late however, they haven’t been that impressive in conference play on the road and I think the Pride will be able to cover this small spread. Take Hofstra to cover.
