The Line: Niagara Purple Eagles +7 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Niagara Purple Eagles host the Siena Saints in the second meeting of the season.
If the Siena Saints can remain healthy and stay consistent then they will be a team to recon with in the MAAC. So far the Saints have held their own with a 6-3 conference record after routing Canisius 99-79 Sunday on the road. The Golden Griffins sank shots at a respectable 45% and 13-21 from distance but Siena seldom missed at 66% with a 10-19 effort on threes and 16 more makes at the stripe. Brett Bisping poured in a game high 27 points and grabbed eleven rebounds with Lavon Long adding 25 points and eight assists. Kinnon LaRose netted 19 points and posted six helpers with Javion Ogunyemi and Ryan Oliver combining for 17 points.

The Niagara Purple Eagles are just trying to avoid the conference basement at this point with a 5-15 record and 2-5 mark in the MAAC. Having said that the Purple Eagles have generally been competitive so there has been improvement on the basketball court. The Purple Eagles are in the midst of a three game skid after a 70-61 loss to visiting Canisius Saturday as a 4.5 point home dog. Niagara lost the shooting battle 43%-36% and that added up to five more baskets for the Golden Griffins. Matt Scott gave Niagara a game high 20 points and seven boards on 4-14 shooting with Emile Blackman tossing in 14 points. Five others scored between 4-7 points but shooting woes were costly
The over is 7-1 in Siena last 8 road games. Niagara are 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 Tuesday games and is 7-3-1 in their last 11 Tuesday games while going 13-6-1 in the Purple Eagles last 20 home games. I stink at Siena games but the under has strong trends…
