The Southeastern Louisiana Lions square with the Texas A&M CC Islanders Tuesday.
I think the Southeastern Louisiana Lions 3-15 record sums up their season well enough but suffice to say when you get outscored 78-66 the wins won’t be piling up. The Lions won for the first time in nearly two months in a 98-70 rout of Lamar where a shocking 27 point lead at the half won it. The Lions sank shots at a season high 58% while the Cardinals countered at 36% and rendered 12 more looks at the basket useless. JaMichael Hawkins gave the Lions a game high 24 points and five yanks with Marlain Veal adding 17 points and five assists. Moses Greenwood scored 14 and Zay Jackson checked in with 13 points and eight rebounds while Jordan Capps and Dimi Cook combined for 18 points.

The Texas A&M CC Islanders are looking like a team to reckon with in the Southland behind their high powered offense that has been consistently lighting up the scoreboard. The Islanders have won eight in a row following a 97-76 rout of New Orleans on Saturday. Texas A&M CC were up seven at the break before pulling away over the final 20 minutes. The Islanders fired away at 51.5% including 13-23 from distance and the Privateers couldn’t keep up on 41% marksmanship. Rashawn Thomas poured in a game high 24 points and snagged eight rebounds with Brandon Pye tossing in 20 points. Ehab Amin added 18 points and six steals while Bryce Douvier and Hameed Ali combined for 20 points.
Southeastern Louisiana are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 road games and are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games overall. The under is 13-5 in the Islanders last 18 overall. I don’t see the Lions having a chance of winning but the Islander are scored on so perhaps a cover at the big number is possible…
