The #23 Pittsburgh Panthers look for a road win versus the Clemson Tigers Wednesday.
The goal for the #23 Pittsburgh Panthers is to win and climb the national rankings with an eye on the postseason. The Panthers rebounded from a home loss to North Carolina State to edge past Florida State 74-72 as a 2.5 point road underdog. Pitt rallied from a ten point halftime deficit despite 39% shooting because of a 10-23 mark on threes and eight more free throws which was enough to counter red hot 53.7% Seminoles marksmanship. Sterling Smith and Jamel Artis paced the Panthers attack with 16 points and five yanks apiece. James Robinson added 14 points and five helpers while Michael Young contributed 13 points and six boards.

The Clemson Tigers look like a solid team but the problem is there are a bunch of solid teams in the ACC. The Tigers had won five in a row before Virginia put an end to the fun with a 69-62 win as a ten point home favorite. Clemson shot the ball well enough at 45% but only six trips to the stripe and an 8-24 effort on long balls doing them in against the 54% accuracy of the Cavaliers. Jaron Blossumgame gave the Tigers a game high 23 points and six boards with Landry Nnoko tossing in 15 points. Donte Grantham and Gabe DeVoe combined for 15 points and eight pulls but the offense needed more punch .
Clemson are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 Wednesday games and the over is 10-2 in their last 12 vs. Atlantic Coast while the under is 6-2 in the Tigers last 8 Wednesday games. This seems like a trap and I’m taking the bait…
