The Tennessee State Tigers appear to have completed their rebuilding process at 14-5. The Tigers had won five straight conference games before getting outscored at Belmont 103-95 as an 11.5 point road dog Sunday. TSU trailed by 16 after 20 minutes with a second half rally running out of steam. The Bruins were a scorching hot 58% from the floor with the Tigers hitting at an impressive 50% and difference equaled four field goals. Kerron DeShields and Tahjere McCall tossed in 33 and 32 points respectively. Wayne Martin was next in line with 14 points and 12 rebounds while Marcus Roper contributed another eight points.

The Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles haven’t been a household name on the Ohio Valley but they are trying to change that image with a 14-7 record built on a potent scoring offense. The Golden Eagles have won six of eight after outscoring Eastern Kentucky 89-83 on the road Saturday. The tandem of Aleksa Jugovic and Torrance Rowe exploded for 24 points apiece and nine helpers between them.
