USA TODAY Sports

The IUPUI Jaguars won their 3rd straight game and improved to 10-13 (6-2 Summit) on the season after defeating the Western Illinois Leathernecks, 69-67, this past Friday. IUPUI was impressive on the offensive end as they shot 51.9% from the field and 50.0% (4-8) from beyond the arc. The Jaguars allowed the Leathernecks to shoot 46.9% shooting and was outrebounded by Western Illinois by a 33-25 margin. IUPUI had 10 steals in the game and forced Western Illinois into committing 18 turnovers. Leading the way for IUPUI was Matt O’Leary who had a double-double with 20 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, and a block. On the season, the Jaguars have been led by Darell Combs (16.1 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.1 spg), Matt O’Leary (10.2 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 2.0 apg), and Nick Osborne (8.9 ppg, 6.4 rpg). Offensively, IUPUI is averaging 69.1 ppg on 42.5% shooting from the field and 34.0% shooting from beyond the arc. The Jaguars average 6.0 three-pointers per game and have an assist/turnover ratio of 0.77. Defensively, IUPUI is allowing their opponents to average 74.7 ppg on 45.7% shooting. The Jaguars average 7.0 steals per game and have a rebound margin of -2.0.

The Bison are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 vs. Summit opponents however, just 3-8 ATS in their last 11 road games. The Jaguars are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 Sunday games and 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.

North Dakota State has been solid on the defensive end but they’ve struggled a bit on the road as of late as they have lost their last three road games. IUPUI struggled a bit in their non-conference schedule but the Jaguars have been solid in conference play which included a home win against a very good South Dakota State team. IUPUI has already matched their conference win total from last season, however, this is a big game for the Bison to ensure they stay near the top of the conference standings and I think North Dakota State gets their first conference win on the road in this one. Take North Dakota State.
