The 17th ranked Baylor Bears won their 2nd straight game and improved to 17-4 (6-2 Big 12) on the season after defeating the Georgia Bulldogs, 83-73, this past Saturday. Baylor used a 17-2 run early in the 2nd half to overcome a 35-32 deficit at halftime and get the victory. Baylor shot 45.3% from the field and 41.2% (7-17) from beyond the arc. The Bears allowed the Bulldogs to shoot 50.0% from the field and outrebounded Georgia by a 34-28 margin. Leading the way for Baylor was Rico Gathers who had 17 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 assist, and a block. On the season, the Bears have been led by Taurean Prince (15.0 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 2.6 apg, 1.6 spg), Rico Gathers (12.7 ppg, 10.5 rpg, 1.0 spg), and Al Freeman (12.2 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.9 apg). The Bears average 8.6 steals per game and have a turnover margin of 1.7.

The Longhorns are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Big 12 opponents. The Bears are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games and 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 games overall.

Texas has really been playing well over the past few weeks and although they are still without Cameron Ridley, they have been able to pick big wins against Iowa State and West Virginia with strong defensive efforts. Baylor has been one of the better all-around teams in the country this season and has an impressive 14-1 record at home this season. Baylor should have a decent size advantage over the Longhorns in this one, however, Shaka Smart really has the Longhorns playing well as of late and as Texas has already shown they can go on the road and get big wins, I think Texas will keep this one close and cover with the points. Take Texas and the points!
